Privacy Policy

This policy covers the legalskillshq.com website. It's short because we collect very little — and that's deliberate, not an oversight. Our whole pitch to you is an architecture where your confidential material stays outside our reach; it would be strange to run the website any other way.

What we collect

• What you submit in our forms. The waitlist form asks for your email and, optionally, your name, practice area, and firm size. The privilege self-audit form asks for your email. That's the complete list — there are no accounts, no logins, and no other input fields on this site.
• Standard hosting logs. The site is hosted on Vercel, which (like every web host) processes IP addresses and request metadata to serve pages and defend against abuse, under Vercel's privacy policy.

What we deliberately don't collect

• No analytics, no trackers. There are no ad trackers, analytics scripts, or visitor-identification tools on this site. We don't know who you are unless you tell us.
• No cookies set by us. The site works without them.
• No client documents — ever, by design. The product this site describes runs in your own cloud account. Your client files, templates, and drafts never pass through our servers, because we don't have any in that data path. We could not read your documents even if we were breached, because we never have them.

How form submissions are processed

Both forms are processed by FormSubmit, a form-relay service that delivers your submission to our email inbox and is subject to its own privacy policy. We then use what you sent us for exactly one purpose: contacting you about Legal Skills HQ — waitlist updates, the self-audit you requested, and founding-cohort information. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone else, and we don't use it for third-party advertising.

Retention and your choices

We keep waitlist submissions until launch communications end or you ask us to remove you, whichever comes first. Email steve@stevekaplan.ai at any time to see what we have about you, correct it, or have it deleted — no form, no friction. Every email we send includes a way to opt out.

Children

This site is for licensed attorneys and legal professionals. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If our practices change — for example, when paid accounts launch — this page changes first, with a new effective date. Material changes to how we handle existing waitlist data will be announced to the list before they take effect.
