Privacy Policy

This policy covers the legalskillshq.com website. It's short because we collect very little — and that's deliberate, not an oversight. Our whole pitch to you is an architecture where your confidential material stays outside our reach; it would be strange to run the website any other way.

What we collect

• What you submit in our form. The setup-call form asks for your email and, optionally, your name, practice area, and firm size. That's the complete list of what the marketing website collects — there are no logins or other input fields on this site.
• Payments, via Stripe. If you subscribe, checkout happens on Stripe's own pages under Stripe's privacy policy. Stripe processes your payment details; we never see or store your card number.
• Product analytics via PostHog. We use PostHog to understand which pages and features are working — page visits, button clicks, and form submission events (not the content of your submissions). Events are anonymous: we capture actions, not identities. No email addresses or personal details are included in analytics events. PostHog is served through this domain's own proxy so no third-party domain call is visible in your browser.
• Standard hosting logs. The site is hosted on Vercel, which (like every web host) processes IP addresses and request metadata to serve pages and defend against abuse, under Vercel's privacy policy.

What we deliberately don't collect

• No ad trackers, no third-party data sharing. We don't run any advertising pixel or visitor-identification scripts. Analytics data stays with us and is not sold or shared.
• No cookies set by us beyond analytics. PostHog may set a first-party cookie to count unique visits; it contains no personal data. No other cookies are set by this site.
• No client documents — ever, by design. The product this site describes runs in your own cloud account. Your client files, templates, and drafts never pass through our servers, because we don't have any in that data path. We could not read your documents even if we were breached, because we never have them.

How form submissions are processed

The setup-call form is processed by FormSubmit, a form-relay service that delivers your submission to our email inbox and is subject to its own privacy policy. We then use what you sent us for exactly one purpose: contacting you about Legal Skills HQ — setup, onboarding, and your account. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone else, and we don't use it for third-party advertising.

Retention and your choices

We keep your form submission until our correspondence with you ends or you ask us to remove you, whichever comes first. Email steve@stevekaplan.ai at any time to see what we have about you, correct it, or have it deleted — no form, no friction. Every email we send includes a way to opt out.

Children

This site is for licensed attorneys and legal professionals. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If our practices change, this page changes first, with a new effective date. Material changes to how we handle your data will be announced by email before they take effect.
